Sports are no longer confined to fields and arenas — they've moved beyond the screen. At mcity88, Malaysian players can enjoy esports and Virtual Sports betting 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with competitive odds and an ever-growing range of games.
Two new categories that are dominating the betting scene among young Malaysian players.
If you remember the old days of playing Counter-Strike at the cyber cafe with your friends, you can probably imagine just how far the world of gaming has come since then. Today, esports is a multi-billion-ringgit industry globally — and Malaysia is far more than a spectator. We have our own teams, professional players, dedicated fans, and now platforms like mcity88 offering a complete and secure esports betting experience.
At mcity88, we distinguish between two main categories under the Virtual Sports section:
Both categories are hugely popular among young Malaysian players because they offer a different kind of excitement compared to traditional sports betting. No need to wait for the weekend to catch a match — at mcity88, there's always something to watch and bet on at any time.
Malaysia now has its own professional esports teams competing on the international stage. Esports betting at mcity88 lets you back local teams while having a chance to win great prizes.
From Mobile Legends, a true Malaysian favourite, to world-class CS2 — it's all here.
MLBB is the most popular esports title in Malaysia. Season after season, MPL Malaysia draws millions of fans. At mcity88, you can bet on the match winner, map handicap, total kills, and many more markets across every MPL series.
The International is the world's biggest DOTA 2 tournament, with a prize pool worth billions. DOTA 2 betting markets at mcity88 covers match winner, first blood, total towers destroyed, match duration, and handicap.
From cyber cafes to the world stage — CS2 remains relevant and has a strong community in Malaysia. Major tournaments like ESL One and BLAST Premier are a focal point for players and esports betting fans at mcity88.
VCT (Valorant Champions Tour) is rapidly growing in popularity among Malaysian players. Teams from Asia Pacific are now competing on the global stage. Valorant betting at mcity88 is available for both international and regional Asian matches.
LCK, LPL, MSI, Worlds — global League of Legends tournaments draw a massive following among Malaysian players. LoL betting at mcity88 available for all major tournament stages with a wide range of market options.
Esports football and Rocket League are growing in popularity. The FIFA eWorld Cup and the Rocket League Championship Series deliver fast-paced action and exciting betting markets at mcity88.
This is a feature many mcity88 players love but may not have tried yet: Virtual Sports. Imagine being able to watch and bet on a football match at 3 in the morning — no schedules, no waiting. That's exactly what Virtual Sports offer.
Virtual Sports at mcity88 uses realistic 3D graphics with convincing player and stadium animations. The outcome of every match is determined by a certified RNG system — meaning no manipulation, every match is fair and free from outside influence.
Every virtual sports match at mcity88 lasts just 2 to 5 minutes — meaning you can enjoy dozens of matches in a single hour without waiting around for a long schedule.
Esports is different from conventional sports — players who understand the markets and game meta have a real advantage.
One of the most interesting things about esports betting compared to traditional sports is that your knowledge as a gamer can give you a genuine edge. If you follow MPL Malaysia every season, you know which teams are in form, which players have recently transferred, and which strategies tend to work in the current meta.
This is an edge not every player has — and at mcity88, that knowledge can translate directly into winnings.
MPL Malaysia is the most-watched esports league in Malaysia. Each season, the top eight Malaysian teams compete for the championship title and a place at the global M-Series tournament. MLBB betting markets at mcity88 includes:
DOTA 2 has a strong community in Malaysia and Southeast Asia. The International is frequently held in the region and draws global attention. DOTA 2 betting markets at mcity88:
CS2 (the successor to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive) remains one of the most popular esports titles for betting worldwide. In Malaysia, cyber cafes used to be packed with CS players — and that community lives on today through professional-level betting at mcity88:

Virtual Football is the most popular virtual sports title at mcity88. It uses computer-simulated football featuring teams from fictional or real-based leagues, with each match lasting around 3 minutes.
What makes virtual football stand out from real football is that it's unaffected by external factors like player injuries, weather, or team morale. Every match is a fair and transparent stats-based simulation — making it ideal for players who prefer a more controlled betting environment.

A practical guide for newcomers and those looking to sharpen their performance.
In esports, the game meta shifts with every patch or update. Teams and players who adapt quickly to a new meta tend to perform better. Players who keep up with these developments have a real edge when betting at mcity88.
Some teams have a notably strong or weak record against certain opponents. Head-to-head history matters in esports because playstyles and strategies can consistently influence outcomes.
While Virtual Sports use fair RNG, they are still chance-based games. Never assume you can predict the next result — each match is independent and completely unaffected by previous ones.
Because virtual sports run every few minutes, it's easy to lose track of time and spend more than you planned. Set a time limit or loss limit before you start, and stick to it at mcity88.
If you actively play Mobile Legends or DOTA 2 yourself, you have a deeper understanding of the game than most bettors. Use that knowledge to make sharper, more informed betting decisions.
Don't focus solely on the match winner market. Markets like map handicap, total maps, or first blood in esports often offer better value because they attract less attention — and at mcity88, all these markets are available.
